Robert has been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee ("LIT") in bankruptcy since 1993 and a Chartered Professional Accountant ("CPA") since 1988. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) and is the past President and current member of the New Brunswick Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (NBAIRP). Robert currently sits on the Board of Directors of CAIRP.

Robert has been providing insolvency services involving individuals and businesses since 1989, initially in Ottawa until 1993 and then in Toronto from 1999 until 2003 and since that time in the Maritimes. From 1994 until 1999, Robert worked in a public real finance company and a private company focused on commercial mortgage backed securities.

In 2001, Paul attained an MBA in Agribusiness from the University of Guelph after first obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. He worked from 2001 to 2004 as a Commercial Account Manager, Agriculture for two of Canada’s major banks in both Ontario and Prince Edward Island. From 2004 until 2010, Paul also worked in his family’s large scale farm business with operations in both Canada and the US.

Paul joined PAL in 2011 and became a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and a member of CAIRP in 2012 and became a Licensed Insolvency Trustee in 2013. Paul’s business experience and down-to-earth personality add significant value to both personal and business insolvency engagements.

Since 1995, Matt has been helping individuals and businesses in financial difficulty across the Maritimes.  He has been a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) since 2003 and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) since 2008.  Through his extensive experience, Matt brings an efficient and practical approach to dealing with insolvency matters.

Matt is the current president of the New Brunswick Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (NBAIRP) and was a board member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) from 2012 to 2014.

Angela graduated from NBCC Saint John, Business Administration program with her diploma in Marketing in 1988. She went to work for the Saint John Regional Hospital and was there for 9 years, starting in the Purchasing department as a receptionist, working up through the ranks as a Buyer and then to the position of Inventory Control Manager for Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation.

Since 2000, Angela has been working in insolvency. Through these years, she has become very adept in all aspects of insolvency administration and helping consumer debtors. She has successfully completed CAIRP’s Insolvency Administration and Insolvency Counsellor Qualification Courses, and is currently enrolled in the CQP program, working towards becoming a Licenced Insolvency Trustee. Angela has brought significant experience to Powell Associates Ltd. Her friendly and caring attitude helps people be comfortable while she works through understanding their situation and discussing practical options.
