Receivership of 686949 N.B. Ltd.
On February 21st, 2025, the Court of King’s Bench of New Brunswick in Bankruptcy and Insolvency (the “Court“) granted an order (the “Receivership Order“) pursuant to Section 33 of the Judicature Act, R.S. N.B. 1973, Ch. J-2, Rule 41 of the Rules of Court of New Brunswick, and Section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3, as amended appointing Powell Associates Ltd. (“PAL“) as the receiver and manager (the “Receiver“) without security, of all of the assets, undertakings and properties of the 686949 N.B. Ltd. (“949”) acquired for, or used in relation to a business carried on by 949.
